12-year-old Victoria Abiodun Performs again with Ensemble Vivant
Thanks to Euterpe: Music Is The Key, 12 year old Victoria Abiodun joined Ensemble Vivant in performance of Antonio Vivaldi’s Fugue in e minor.
Background
Due to a generous grant awarded to Euterpe: Music Is The Key from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Victoria experienced Ensemble Vivant’s interactive music- education performance program at her inner-city elementary school. Tremendously inspired, she approached the musicians with unbounded enthusiasm asking for drums. In January 2023 Victoria became part of Euterpe: Music Is The Key’s MUSIC MENTORSHIP PROGRAM. Thanks to our collaboration with Yamaha Canada Music Ltd., Victoria was gifted a drum kit and has been receiving lessons at the Community Music School at Jane and Finch for over a year and a half. Her progress has been terrific and we are pleased to support her.
Renowned drummer Adrian Bent was truly impressed with Victoria’s performance. He commented: “She has unlimited potential.”
